At 3.45pm UK Coastguard requested the launch of the Hunstanton RNLI lifeboat to assist a fishing vessel that had broken down about 3 miles to the West of the Station.

Hunstanton Lifeboat “Spirit of West Norfolk” launched on service at 3.50pm and on arrival at the casualty vessel secured a tow line and commenced a tow to King’s Lynn.  The two-man crew were out lifting their whelk pots when they developed engine problems. Another Lynn vessel met them down the Lynn Channel and took over the tow.

Hunstanton Lifeboat then returned to station.
