10-11 April 2018 – Hunstanton Lifeboat Launched twice to Search for a Missing Person

On 10th April at 1030pm Humber Coastguard requested the launch of the Hunstanton Lifeboat to assist in the search for a missing person, last seen near the river at King’s Lynn earlier in the day.  Concern for his safety had prompted the Police and Coastguard units to search the area.

Hunstanton Lifeboat, Spirit of West Norfolk, launched as requested and proceeded to the River Ouse and commenced a search from Pandora Sands down river to the A47 Bridge and Power Station.  Nothing was found and the lifeboat was stood down to return to station at 2.15am.

The following morning at 8.40am the Lifeboat was requested to resume the search and returned to station at 3.00pm having carried out a thorough and extensive search of the area but nothing was found.
