Hunstanton lifeboat launched to assist a Kite Surfer

At 3.00pm Humber Coastguard requested the launch of the Hunstanton Lifeboat to go to the aid of a Kite surfer reported to be in trouble off Hunstanton.

On arrival at the scene it was reported that a paddle boarder had assisted the surfer back to the beach, and he was now in the care of the local Coastguard response team. His board was still out at sea. The lifeboat crew did a search of the area and recovered his board and brought it back to the boathouse.

The surfer from the Cambridge area did not require any medical attention and all units were released to return to station.
