At 7.30pm UK Coastguard requested the launch of the Hunstanton Hovercraft to investigate a report of a dog stuck in the mud at Snettisham beach.

Hunstanton Hovercraft launched on service and proceeded to Snettisham.   Before they reached the area UK Coastguard radioed that the dog had been rescued and they could return to station.  On the way back the Coastguard radioed a report of a kite surfer in trouble off Old Hunstanton.  The crew spotted a kite surfer on the beach opposite the Lighthouse waving his arms.  He confirmed that he had been in trouble and his kite was blowing out to sea.  Our hovercraft took him on board and went on to recover his kite.  They landed him and his kite on the beach at Old Hunstanton where he was met by the local Coastguard response team.  No medical treatment was required
