At 4.00pm UK Coastguard requested the launch of the Hunstanton Hovercraft to go to the aid of two people cut off by the tide on the Wreck Sands at Brancaster.

On arrival at the scene it was found that two teenage lads had crossed over to the Scolthead Island, and had been cut off by the incoming tide. They were taken on board the hovercraft, and landed on the beach near the Golf Club into the care of the Hunstanton coastguard response team. They apologised to the crew for getting into that situation and were thankful for their assistance. Hunstanton Hovercraft returned to station at 5.15pm.

At 6.05pm UK Coastguard requested the re-launch of the Hunstanton Hovercraft to go to the aid of two people reported to be stranded on Thornham Marshes.

On arrival at the scene a middle age couple from the London area were taken on board the Hovercraft and landed at Thornham Harbour into the care of the local coastguard response team. Hunstanton Hovercraft returned to station 7.35pm.

Sea state Slight.       Weather Part Cloud.     Wind N E 4.     Vis good.

Visitors to the coast should be aware of the tide times. However tempting it is to walk out on to the marshes and banks, the tidal currents are strong as the tide turns and soon floods the creeks, cutting off your retreat. Take Care, enjoy the beach, Respect The Water. Stay safe.
