Hovercraft crew search for a missing person – 8 June 2016

At 3.49pm Humber Coastguard requested the launch of the Hunstanton Hovercraft to assist the Police in a search for a missing person on the far side of The Wash.

Hunstanton RNLI volunteer Hovercraft crew made best speed to the area and carried out a search of the Wrangle sands to the river Haven and up the river at the request of the Boston Police who were searching for a man reported missing since 10.30am.

Despite a search lasting over three hours no person was found. Hunstanton Hovercraft – The Hunstanton Flyer – was released to return to the station arriving back at Hunstanton at 8.30pm.
