MK Railway station collection – 1 August

RNLI Welly filled with coins on the beach. Shot for Mayday fundraising campaign 2014.Good day, fellow supporters of our noble cause.

After a little break in collections we are gearing up for our next event for the RNLI.  We have our first collection at a railway station thanks to Network Rail and London Midland for giving us permission.  Therefore we are once again asking for your help to staff the event Saturday 1 August, 09:00-17:00.  We are looking for any help you can give, one hour, two – all day, as much as you can spare.

It is a normal bucket collection inside the main concourse of Central Milton Keynes railway station.  There is a dedicated space inside and they are happy to provide a couple of chairs if we need them.  There are toilets available on the platforms and also an accessible toilet available on the concourse.  The station car park is at the back of the station next to the railway and if you need to park there just ask for a pass when you sign in, we just ask that you do not park in the staff bays.  Please do not park at the front of the station as this is Council parking and the station staff have no control over this.  Also please remember your RNLI ID.

If you can help then please click on this link and add your name where you can:

If you are not familiar with the station the address is:

302 Eldergate
Milton Keynes Central
Milton Keynes

Whilst it has been a quiet few weeks for us our adopted station at Hunstanton has been busy with a number of shouts to people either cut off on a rising tide or in difficulty at sea.  For more information on these see our website:

Hope you are having a good summer so far, and look forward to seeing some of you on the 1st August.

Best wishes

Ian Meadows
