Hunstanton Lifeboat Launch – Monday 8th June 2015

At 13.30hrs Humber Coastguard received a 999 call reporting that a kite surfer was in trouble off Hunstanton. The casualty had been down in the water for over 30 minutes.

The volunteer crew launched the Hunstanton Lifeboat at 13.43hrs and made way to the scene. They found that the kite surfer was just making his own way ashore to the waiting Auxiliary Coastguard. Hunstanton lifeboat searched for the kite sail and recovered it. They then returned to station at 14.30hrs.

Weather: 2 Part cloudy Visibility: 4 7 –10 miles

Wind: Easterly 3 Gentle breeze 7 – 10 kts

Sea state: Slight 0.5m to 1.25m swell.
