Hunstanton Lifeboat Launch – Saturday 25 April 2015

Hunstanton Lifeboat Launch to a Kite surfer in difficulties off Old Hunstanton/Holme beach

 

At 12:16hrs Humber Coastguard requested the launch of B-835 Hunstanton relief Lifeboat to go to the assistance of a kite surfer thought to be in difficulties off the station. 


Shortly after launching Hunstanton Auxiliary Coastguard Response Vehicle crew confirmed that the kite surfer had made it ashore and was safe and well off Holme.  The lifeboat checked the surrounding area to ensure that this was the correct casualty before returning to station at 12.41hrs local time.   


Hunstanton Coastguard then transported the casualty to the lifeboat station so he could get back to his car.

 

Wind: Gentle Breeze Westerly 7 – 10 Kts. Visibility:  Excellent.  Sea State: 2  Smooth.
