At 2.10pm Humber Coastguard requested the launch of the Hunstanton Hovercraft to a report of a kite surfer injured on Old Hunstanton beach, with a suspected broken ankle, sustained in heavy contact with the beach after doing a jump. 

Our volunteer crew launched on service and on arrival at the casualty first aid was given.  The surfer, a 40 year male from the Leicestershire area, and was brought back to the Boathouse and transferred to an ambulance and taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn.

Wind SW 4.  Sea state moderate.  Vis. Good.
