Hunstanton Lifeboat Launch – Friday 29th November 2013

At 3.05 pm Humber Coastguard (CG) requested the launch of the Hunstanton Lifeboat as they had a report that a lady walking her dog was cut off by the tide under the cliffs near the lighthouse. The Spirit of West Norfolk launched into a force six North Westerly just on high water.

On arrival opposite the lighthouse the crew asked the CG for further details as no person or dog could be seen in that location. The CG informed them that the person had made it along the bottom edge of the cliff and was now on the promenade at Hunstanton.

They thanked the crew for a quick response.

Our lifeboat then returned to station and due to the weather conditions a net recovery was made. Hunstanton coastguard response team spoke with the lady and took her back to her car and friends who were at the cliff car park.
