Yarmouth Coastguard requested the launch of the Hunstanton Hovercraft to evacuate four persons stranded on Scolt Head Island.

The Hovercraft launched at 6.41 pm. and proceeded to Scolt Head.

The four persons had informed the Coastguard of their predicament and that they were taking shelter in the warden’s hut on the Island.

One of the females was heavily pregnant and showing signs of cold and distress. An ambulance was requested to meet up with the Hovercraft at Brancaster Golf Club House, where the four persons were landed into the care of the Wells CG to await medical assessment. Weather conditions were wind SW 2, sea slight, air temp -3°C. Our Hovercraft returned to station at 8.30 pm.
