Borough Mayor Colin Sampson of Kings Lynn presented the Mayor’s Community Award to the lifeboat crew of RNLI Hunstanton, for their outstanding service to the community.

Robin Rafferty, Hunstanton Lifeboat Operations Manager, received the framed certificate and Borough Shield from the Mayor on behalf of the crew. This prestigious award, granted to individuals and organisations for outstanding service and work in the community, is now proudly displayed in the boathouse – a tribute to past and present lifeboat crews of Hunstanton.

The award was made at the naming ceremony of the new lifeboat, Spirit of West Norfolk and boathouse extension event, and was a complete surprise. The lifeboat crew are honoured to have been selected, and are proud to carry on the work of the RNLI, the charity that saves lives at sea.
